Semiconductor Market Update|TI Demand Weakens; ADI Adjusts Channel Spot Prices

➡️ Original Manufacturer Market Updates

TI: Demand Decline

【Demand】Spot market gradually stabilizes this week as demand slows. Customers who previously rushed to stockpile now adopt a wait-and-see approach. While the Entity List controversy may have temporarily helped TI spot markets digest some inventory, market participants are returning to calm and rationality amid ongoing market volatility.

【Hot Components】LT1013MJGB is a dual-channel precision operational amplifier primarily used in data acquisition systems, precision instruments, communication equipment, and battery-powered devices.

BQ76PL455ATPFCRQ1 is a battery management integrated circuit designed for high-reliability, high-voltage industrial and automotive applications. It supports diverse scenarios requiring precise battery management and protection.

TE: Lead times for most products are around 3 months

【Lead Times】The past two months have been the most critical for customer scheduling with TE's backlog. Many products now have lead times around 3 months. Customers will definitely forecast demand plans for Q1 next year in advance. For Q4, sales should prioritize monitoring customer project/backlog requirements.

【Insights】TE CONNECTIVITY's products in China generate approximately ¥3 billion in annual revenue over 25 years, primarily serving the construction vehicle and new energy markets. These applications predominantly utilize the DT series models, which offer some interchangeability with AMPHENOL's AT/RT series. TE Connectivity products can be recommended based on customer requirements for product quality and pricing.

ADI: Spot price adjustments across select channels

【Pricing】Spot inventory prices adjusted across select channels.

【Lead Times】Switching regulators: 10-14 weeks; Interface components: Average lead time reduced from 20-26 weeks to 12-20 weeks.

【News】On October 21, ASE Holdings announced a strategic partnership with ADI in Penang, Malaysia, formalized through a memorandum of understanding. ASE plans to acquire ADI's Penang manufacturing facility to enhance global supply chain resilience and manufacturing diversity. Additionally, ADI and ASE intend to enter into a long-term supply agreement where ASE will provide manufacturing services to ADI. ADI also plans to co-invest with ASE to upgrade the Penang facility's technical capabilities. The parties expect to finalize the agreement in Q4 2025, with the transaction anticipated to close in the first half of 2026. Upon completion, ASE will assume operations and further develop the Penang plant to support ADI and other customers.

MICRON: Surging Storage Demand

【Demand】The "giants" of the AI server market are absorbing global storage demand, making a supply shortage for at least the next two years (DDR4) inevitable. Beyond dram, HDD supply shortages persist, while orders for high-capacity SSDs are surging.

Renesas: Plans to Sell Timing Business Unit

[News] Exploring a $2 billion sale of its timing business unit, potentially attracting companies like TI and Infineon.

This potential sale comes amid surging demand for components in data centers and high-speed communication networks, driven by AI and 5G technology advancements. Renesas' timing business primarily develops and supplies application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). These chips manage clock, timing, and synchronization functions, serving as critical components for ensuring orderly data transmission in high-speed network equipment. The division's core markets include data centers (where its products support inter-server communication), telecommunications infrastructure, and 5G mobile network construction.

For Renesas Electronics, divesting this business will raise substantial funds and potentially allow greater focus on core markets such as automotive and industrial chips.

INFINEON: Extended Lead Times for Select Models

【Lead Times】Sensors: 4-26 weeks (relatively stable); Switching Regulators: 14-24 weeks; IGBTs: 12-42 weeks; Low-Voltage MOSFETs: 10-39 weeks; High-Voltage MOSFETs: 9-26 weeks. Lead times show an upward trend.

Nexperia: China affected by export controls, no accurate lead times available

【Inventory】China affected by Nexperia export restrictions; supply risks emerging for Nexperia automotive chips at some European automakers. Current inventory sufficient for only several weeks; production lines may halt if issues aren't resolved promptly.

【Lead Times】No official announcement has been made regarding the resumption of normal shipments from Chinese factories. Accurate order delivery dates are currently unavailable.

DIODES: Price Increase Trend

【Pricing】Due to NXP Semiconductors' shortages, DIODES—a substitute brand—is showing price increase trends.

【Lead Time】For MOSFETs, diodes, transistors, and power supplies: - 2-3 weeks for orders with manufacturer stock - 15-20 weeks for backlog orders without stock

For crystal oscillators (PERICOM series), lead times are 3-4 weeks if stock is available from the original manufacturer. If no stock is available, lead times are 16-20 weeks.

C&K: Due to price control measures, lead times have extended to over 12 weeks.

【Lead Time】Distributor feedback indicates extended lead times for special pricing models, with estimated delivery exceeding 12 weeks.

Under the ongoing impact of Littelfuse's acquisition, C&K has implemented stricter controls, manifested as follows: First, using China as an example, regions are divided by province, and pricing requests must be submitted to the relevant provincial manager. Projects in Jiangsu cannot be submitted to the Shanghai manager, and the number of regional managers with good relationships with distributors is limited. Second, for major accounts, the manufacturer now permits only two suppliers to provide concurrent service.

The result is that C&K distributors face significant delays and restrictions when requesting special pricing through the formal process, leading to extended lead times.

I-PEX: Unstable Lead Times

【LeadTimes】The manufacturer requires distributors to submit procurement plans six months in advance, with a maximum fluctuation rate of 20%. This results in highly unstable lead times. Distributors maintain a list of pre-approved models with fast lead times (7-10 days, as the manufacturer keeps stock). However, for models outside this plan, lead times can be extremely long—potentially 1-2 years for the longest (as the manufacturer may need to procure raw materials on short notice).

Consequently, distributors may decline orders even when stock is available to stay within the 20% fluctuation limit.

NKK Switches: ISC15ANP4 and ISC01P to be Discontinued

Q4 2025 holiday demand may be conservative, with MLCC supply polarization intensifying

According to TrendForce's latest research, the fourth-quarter MLCC market will be supported by AI infrastructure demand while facing pressure from weak consumer electronics demand and heightened global market uncertainties. TrendForce forecasts that under conservative OEM/ODM inventory planning, only high-end MLCC revenue will maintain steady growth. Consumer-grade MLCC order prospects are unlikely to rebound against the trend. Suppliers must balance cost reduction, efficiency gains, and capacity allocation to mitigate operational risks.
